Alaskan brewers worked with Juneau's own Heritage Coffee Roasting Co. to choose the coffee brewed with this rich brown ale. Thier flavorful blend plus the brewers' specialty malts impart a big cocoa aroma with light earthy roasted and gourmet coffee notes. The flavor has a light sweetness, with fruity hazelnut and medium coffee flavors. There is a deep coffee base without being overwhelming that allows the brown ale and a hint of Cascade and Calypso hops to shine through.

This is a big beer with a strong bittering element of three hop varieties in the boil to bring focus to the flavor. This unfiltered IPA is a glowing medium gold, with a hazy appearance reminiscent of a blue–sky day in Juneau, Alaska. Ripe pineapple, fresh tangerine and pine resin abound in the aroma, with a host of other tropical and stone fruit flavors. Juneau Juice is all about bright and succulent hop character. It has a light body, with a full mouthfeel and hint of pine on the back end.

With 4 pounds per barrel of real passionfruit puree added during primary fermentation, the tropical flavor in this beer shines though, but is not overwhelming. As if the harmony between sweet passionfruit and tart gose wasn't enough, we've dry hopped this beer with a generous amount of Citra hops -- a half pound per barrel in the drop hop, to be specific.
