The Archdruid needed to ride to the ceremonies at the National Eisteddfod of Wales, eager to preside over The Crowning of the Bard. Short of timber, he used ancient magic to lash immobilized leprechauns into a river worthy craft. Notice the bejeweled chalice floating by the side of the Archdruid? It's filled with this Irish red ale we aged in Irish Whiskey barrels. An nidh is anamh, is é is iongataighe.

This Imperial Stout is a powerful pairing in its own right, with robust dark malt flavors and the rich and complex notes of Irish Whiskey and Bourbon barrel aging.

English Style Barleywine Ale - Aged In Bourbon Barrels. The third installation of Billionaire features Bourbon instead of Congac. The luxurious English Barleywine malt profile remains unchanged. Our GM, Matt Smith, in his eagerness "borrowed" the Clown Shoes Copter, flying to a secret lawn and mansion in KY, where he believed the barrels to be stashed. Haha! Sorry Matt, the final aging happened in a diamond mind deep in Africa.

Clown Shoes - Breakfast Beast
Style: American Imperial Stout
ABV: 10.50%

The beer is Breakfast Beast, a blend of Blaecorn Unidragon Russian imperial stout (12.5 percent ABV), Undead Party Crasher imperial stout (10 percent ABV) and an “experimental new stout” that was aged in bourbon barrels. In addition, cold brewed coffee sourced from Barrington Coffee Roasting Co. in Lee, Mass. was added to the beer before being bottled.

After breaking the spirit of one particularly viscous breakfast sandwich, we brewed a batch of Undead Party Crasher, aged it 100% in rye barrels, then added Kalledevarapura Espresso from our friends at Barrington Coffee Roasting Company.

Cam will come, and he will conquer. If not by land, perhaps by sea. If not by boat, perhaps by jousting atop an alligator. Regardless of method, conquer he shall, and bestow upon thee this Triple IPA. Hop intensity abounds from additions of Mosaic, El Dorado, and Azacca hops, with tropical and juicy fruit flavors and a pleasantly light hop bitterness. A sweet malt finish makes for a balanced drinkability.

Clementine is Clown Shoes Beer’s Belgian style White Ale. Light-bodied and crisp, this is a terrific White Ale with plenty of zest! Hazy in appearance and healthily carbonated, it utilizes Chambly yeast to energetically shape its wheat malt base. Incorporated in the brewing process is Clementine, sweet orange peel, a hint of Coriander, and Summit hops.

Ahh, what better smell is there than chupacabras, defeated, burning in a field of rye? Ummm perhaps the complex aromatics of Crasher in the Rye? For 2017, we brewed the base beer, Undead Party Crasher, and replaced the smoked malt with rye malt to complement the roasted chocolate core of the brew. Then we aged the beer in 100% rye barrels to create a new version of Crasher in the Rye.

Lasso yourself into that glorious stratosphere Jim, and continue your heroic deeds of intergalactic generosity! This year’s edition of our first ever New England IPA doubles down on it’s tropical citrus focus with a double dry hopping in the fermentation tank. With Citra, Azacca, and Mosaic hops leading the way, DDH YEEEHAAW! is an explosion of the fruit notes and smooth full-bodied flavor that is exemplary of this modern style.

Eagle Claw Fist utilizes the same Chico yeast that shaped Hoppy Feet and Brown Angel. Canadian Two Row, English Crystal, and a little English Black Patent malt provide a sweet, balanced backbone. Simcoe, Centennial, and Citra work together to create a unique hop assault, with an intense bitterness that manages to leave your palate in one piece and is harmonized by the flavors of tropical fruits and flowers. The finish is dry.

Finally, here it is, built off of ECF, but cleaner, meaner, less bitter, and dry-hopped with Citra, Simcoe, Mosaic and Nelson Sauvin.

We took our Undead Party Crasher Imperial Stout and aged it in Caribbean Rum barrels for a deep, dark molasses-ey finish. The Hammer of The Shaolin was not easy to acquire. Master Clown Shoes hitched a ride to Morocco, where he defeated an evil, giant screeching mantis that was guarding the relic. The hearing in his left ear may never return, and in his right it might never stop ringing. But most of the scars will heal. Master Clown Shoes survived, and now we watch as he uses the power of the hammer to mend the earth and clean the water of his homeland.

A new creation from Clown Shoes Beer might seem a bit familiar to fans of Harpoon Brewery. The beer is named Leviathan, an 11 percent ABV triple IPA that features “massive hop additions.” In a post on the Boston-based brewery’s Facebook page, the new IPA is a “re-make” of Harpoon’s 10 percent ABV Leviathan triple IPA brewed with Amarillo, Centennial, Chinook and Simcoe hops in the “Clown Shoes style.”

She took off the leash and let the creature frolic and play in the fountain at RiverScape Metropark. This Russian Imperial Stout is made exclusively for Ohio double dry-hopped with Ohio grown hops.

Prideful. Blinded by (unfounded?) dislike? Master Clown Shoes challenged the leader of the upstart Motherless Children School of Kung Fu to a duel. He wanted to win, but he didn’t want to maim the man. Shamed, Master Clown Shoes leaves behind his own teacher, as well as his distraught students. He finds his way to a remote brewery in the mountains, where he waits, quietly, anonymous but for his exceptionally large feet, pondering a path to be redeemed. Rich and complex notes of bourbon and oak mingle uniquely with subtle hoppiness and a sturdy, slightly sweet, malt backbone.

Rainbows Are Real, a vibrant IPA, is hazy and brewed with the terpenes Linalool and Beta-Pinene. The terpenes enhance floral and pine notes and supplement sweet, citrusy hops. The aromatic compounds, derived from natural botanical sources, are used to elevate the beer’s aroma. In this case, their floral and piney flavors supplement the sweet malt backbone and juicy mix of Azacca, Citra, and Mosaic hops. This allows Rainbows are Real to shine in a new way.

Inspiration Guides us, here at Clown Shoes. When I tried this Imperial Stout, a quiet, serene feeling spread through me. A vision of a Japanese maple tree weathering a snow storm presented itself. Looking closer, I saw frolicking Manchurian cranes in Clown Shoes. Weird, Yes! But Nice! Aged in Bourbon Barrels that had premium maple syrup aged in them as well, this beer is a beautiful compliment for a winter night.
