The 2013 Director’s Sonoma Coast Chardonnay offers an exquisitely lush palate while still being perfectly balanced. A beautiful perfume of tropical fruit, honeysuckle, vanilla and spices gives way to juicy flavors of peaches, pears, guava and citrus. Hazelnut and crème brulée lift on the finish.

Coppola Winery - Directors Cut Chardonnay

Using only Russian River Valley fruit, we crush the grapes whole-cluster and ferment entirely in French oak barrels to produce a wine with a seductive, round texture and notes of sweet vanilla. This technique also serves to highlight the green apple, honeysuckle and citrus flavors, which are the hallmark of Russian River vineyards.

Coppola Winery - Director's Cut Pinot Noir

An abundantly flavorful Pinot displaying vibrant tones of red cherry and pomegranate. The Russian River Valley climate is defined by a regular intrusion of cooling fog from the Pacific Ocean a few miles to the west. Much like the tide, the fog ebbs and flows, arriving each evening, cooling the area down from its daytime temperatures by as much as 35 to 40 degrees. This natural air conditioning provides for an extended growing season where the grapes mature slowly for optimal development and maintain a good level of natural acidity. The Russian River Valley’s loam and alluvial soil compositions create a very rich and fragrant Pinot Noir that offers pronounced floral notes and a distinct earthy character.

Coppola Winery - Rosso and Bianco: Pinot Grigio

This light, crisp, versatile wine is sourced from two regions: The Pinnacles Bench in Monterey and Clarksburg just outside of Lodi. Pinnacles Bench fruit is influenced by cool coastal conditions, while our Clarksburg grapes develop more ripeness owing to fertile soils and a warmer climate. When blended together, we create a wine with full, ripe flavors and balanced acidity.

Coppola Winery - Rosso and Bianco: Rosso

Rosso is made from a blend of Zinfandel, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah from climatically diverse growing regions across California. This helps us achieve more complexity and intriguing nuances. Lodi fruit in particular benefits from temperature differentials where extremely warm daytime weather is offset by cool afternoon breezes from the San Joaquin Delta.
