Boffo Brown is a favorite to many of us here at the brewery. Like most of our beers, it’s robust full body and soft mouth feel is pushing the envelope of what an American Brown Ale is to most people. Flavors begin with malt, caramel, toffee, and finish with a nutty, mild earthiness. Boffo is extremely versatile and can be paired with hearty food and sips of bourbon or mildcheeses and sunny days.

Dark Horse Brewing Co. - Crooked Tree IPA
Style: American IPA
ABV: 6.00%

The Crooked Tree is heavily dry hopped to give it a big aroma of pine and citrus. Often described as “grapefruit” our hops give this beer an excellent fruit flavor that finishes dry, crisp, and clean. It will pour a nice deep copper color with a bit of haziness. Because of our almost patented “Intense Transfer Methods” our Crooked Tree has won several medals in the India Pale Ale category.

For the second in our Hazy Tree Series, we pitted juicy tropical Pineapple sweetness against Crooked Tree’s hoppiness and let them duke it out. Another pleasant bittersweet bout. A refreshing “Great Lakes Juice” reminder that can transport you to the tropics year-round. Pairs well with wood fired carnivore pizza.

This beer is a light bodied, easy drinking ale. We use real raspberries late in fermentation, giving this beer a mild fruit flavor while keeping a very balanced malt profile. This may not be what some would expect from a "fruit" beer, but our brewers make good beer; not fruity, carbonated malt beverages. Our motto is, "beer first, fruit second".

A new addition to the Smells Like family this IPA uses the same malt profile as our seasonal IPA called Smells Like a Safety Meeting and clocks in at 8.5% ABV. Instead of the proprietary hop blend we like so much in the original Smells Like a Safety Meeting, we removed all of the hops and replaced them with Citra hops giving this beer a very citrus forward nose and flavor profile.

Our most Aromatic IPA. An 8.5% India Pale Ale that is very reminiscent of the hop’s cousin in the Mulberry family. Lots of hop aroma with just the right amount of bitterness as we still like our balance around here. Between the secret blend of the most DANK hops that we can get our hands on and a "more than healthy" dose of double dry hopping.
