Style: Barrel Aged Stout

This limited edition (only ten barrels were made) celebratory brew from the Amana Colonies has been aged for a year in Jack Daniels barrels! The oats give the beer a real thick mouthfeel, something definitely desirable in a stout! Black malt and roasted barley give the beer its color, and coffee flavor. It is rightfully named after the Hawkeye's record breaking season! Go Hawks!

	Millstream Brewing Co. - 1923 Style: Kolsch ABV: 4.80% IBU: 21.0 This brew pays homage to our neighbors at the Woolen Mill. In 1923 a fire destroyed most of the Mill, but in the true Amana spirit, everyone came together to help and rebuild. 1923 Kolsch is light enough to drink in the warmer months and hearty enough for the cooler months.

With heavy notes of vanilla and cocoa on the nose, combined with coffee and oats for a full body, this blonde stout will get you a little squirrelly. We've named this brew in honor of our favorite local woodland creature.

Colony Oatmeal Stout used to be just a winter seasonal brew when it first was introduced back in 1996. But since then popular demand has made it into an all year affair. The ’oatmeal’ in the name is due the 10% oatmeal in the the grist of this brew. Oats give beer a real thick mouthfeel, something definitely desirable in a stout! Black malt and roasted barley give the beer its color, and coffee-like flavors.

Millstream Brewing Co. - Big Honey

We put a mild twist to it though and add 180 pounds of pure rich honey. This year we went local and used honey from " Noble Bee Honey". He is our local honey bee farmer right here in Amana, IA. you will pull the spicy banana flavors of the Hefeweizen with a hint of cloves added that comes from the honey. This unfiltered wheat beer is a full-bodied with mild hop bitterness and a hint of coriander.

Our Blitzin Baltic Porter has the lightly roasted malt aroma this is typical of a Baltic Porter. the beer is dark in color and has a smooth and creamy body. the medium hop bitterness is well balanced with the sweet-ness of the malts. this big beer has lot of complexity and richness with its flavors and the alcohol is extremely well hidden.

This beer was developed to celebrate John's Grocery's 50th anniversary and 3 generations of ownership.

Our Pumpkin Imperial Stout is a traditional dark and rich stout infused with pumpkin flavoring. The pumpkin is subtle in this beer and the nose is marked by nutmeg, allspice pumpkin and strong roasted malt notes. There is a greatly appreciated balanced level of spice and maltiness. This is truly a beer that will complement the Autumn season.

	Millstream Brewing Co. - Windmill Wheat Style: Wheat Ale ABV: 4.50% This is our lightest beer which is a popular brew in rural Iowa. This malted wheat is carefully blended with the traditional malt barley, and brewed with special hops to create a "Summer Fest" beer. Light and zesty in itself, this beer is best served in a tall glass with a slice of lemon.
