New English Brewing Co. - Bee's Knees
Style: Honey Ale

Bees Knees is a wheat ale brewed with local organic honey. In 2016 the honey was derived from California wild flower fields. We brew this ale with a blend of 2-Row base malt and 40% white wheat malt to a medium bodied 5.0% abv. Bees Knees is an easy drinking summer seasonal session beer but the addition of local honey lends a sense of occasion.

Originally released as our 2018 Summer Seasonal, "Bloody Orange" IPA swiftly became a fan favorite, so we added it to our regular beer lineup. Brewed sweet orange peel in the kettle and natural concentrated blood oranges during fermentation make this delicious beer a 7.2% ABV and 50 IBU refresher. Subtle orange flavor and aroma meld perfectly with Citra and Mosaic hops.

Blueberry Blonde is a distinct, clean berry aroma and a deep purple color under a light pink head. Even at 6% alcohol by volume, Blueberry Blonde is the perfect, refreshing ale after a hot afternoon. There is a tartness from the berry that is complimented by the early hops to produce a balance that is crisp and dry but full of berry flavor.

Brewers Special Brown Ale is our robust brown ale, full of roast and chocolate malt character with a deep, bronze body and a substantial foamy, light tan head. After 6 to 8 months resting in Woodford Reserve bourbon barrels it is then carefully blended with some freshly fermented Brown Ale, the resulting brew is a sublimely delicious melding of beer and whiskey coupled with notes of vanilla and American Oak.

A classic English Style Pale Ale, Explorer E.S.B. challenges you to go beyond the ordinary. Assertively hopped at 43 IBU’s and a respectably strong 5.8% ABV beer in the best English tradition, Explorer is nevertheless well balanced with a chewy maltiness. The deep copper colored body and creamy white head tell you that this ale has been hand crafted from only the finest ingredients. The flavor is a satisfying blend of caramel and biscuit malts, giving way to a pleasing bitterness by mid-swallow and ending with a clean, dry, crisp finish.

The devilish forces of alcohol and bitterness, 7.5% ABV and 70 IBU’s, could overwhelm but, as with all our beers, the angelic forces of subtlety and the sublime element of balance are also present. The grain bill is redolent with the complexity of rye malt, lightly toasted crystal and victory malts. The 90 minute boil both caramelizes and concentrates the wort. Large helpings of bittering hops up front are complimented by Cascade late in the kettle. Centennial and Cascade dry hops develop a pleasing floral and citrus aroma.

A sturdy malt backbone is build on top of first class German Pilsner Malt and American 2-Row barley. A pinch of German Magnum hops followed by later helpings of CA Saaz provide a pleasant lemony citrus bitterness. Crystal clear gold in color and with a firm white foamy head, at 4.8% ABV and 18 IBUs you can be assured this beer is refreshing and easy drinking and is the result of this foray into our take on this classic style.

A sturdy 6.5% alcohol-by-volume India pale ale brewed with copious amounts of Golden Promise (remember that malt?) with subtle touches of Vienna, Carapils, and light Crystal malts. Nugget and Centennial hops boost the IBU (bitterness) level to a plenty-respectable 75, while Citra and Mosaic hops added during brewing and during fermentation bring on bright citrus scents.

ABV: 6.50% IBU: 75.0

We decided that 6.5% ABV was the sweet spot. Not too over the top, but not a session beer either. To ensure enough bitterness to be a west coast style IPA, we set the IBUs at 75, achieved with Nugget and Centennial as the early kettle additions. Flavor and aroma come from late kettle additions of Citra and Mosaic, with loads more of both these wonderful hops added as dry hops in the fermenter.

New English Brewing Co. - Sorrento Saison
Style: Saison
ABV: 6.70% IBU: 30.0

Our latest seasonal release is inspired by our Sorrento Valley location adjacent to the Torrey Pines Reserve and is called Sorrento Saison. Best served in a tulip-style glass, this French farmhouse saison has a fruity, citrus-forward nose with notes of candied lemons, tangerine and orange, courtesy of Mosaic and Citra hops. Strawberry-candy and white-pepper flavors follow with a dry, refreshing finish. The light-pale, straw-colored brew sits under a persistent, rocky white head. This is no lightweight, but a perfect accompaniment to the start of spring.

Bitterness is distinct but within the bounds of drinkability. Thin body with a dry finish that stops short of astringency. A touch of toast and grain. Faintest hint of fruit but no trace of malty sweetness

It's a single hop ale with Saaz hops providing an clean, citrus flavor from this renowned Czech Noble varietal and a subtle 15 IBU's, for a crisp finish behind the mellow wheat malt body.A true Summer session beer, "WHY ? NOT", as it's name suggests, gives you a reason to relax, savor the refreshing, clean malt flavor and crisp, dry finish, and then have another.

	New English Brewing Co. - Zumbar -- NITRO Style: Imperial Stout ABV: 9.30% IBU: 45.0 This Imperial Stout is brewed with “El Mundo” a rich blend of Indonesian and Latin American coffee beans in the mash and also in the fermenter. As well as ridiculous amounts of whole bean coffee we added 2Lbs per Barrel of 72% cacao Belgian Chocolate in the secondary.
