Nose opens with lovely rose petal, plum and briar with sweet cola and nutmeg notes. Succulent dark cherry and plum dominate the palate with layers of cigar tobacco and cardamom. Gorgeous acidity and depth on the palate.

"TASTING NOTES: A perfumed nose of rose petals, dark cherry, rhubarb and wild strawberry with white pepper and cinnamon spice notes. Lovely fresh rose, cherry, plum and cola on the palate with hints of five spice and cardamom. Smooth, silky tannins with a long succulent finish. WINEMAKING: After night harvesting, the pinot noir arrives at Saintsbury within the hour of pick. The clusters are first sorted before moving to the destemmer. Partially crushed fruit is then transferred into open-top tanks for fermentation." -- Winery

Whole clusters of Pinot Noir from our Home Ranch vineyard are hand-picked at night and taken directly to press. The juice was pale in color but ethereal in aroma. Guava, nectarine, honeydew melon and white flowers on nose. Wild strawberry, cantaloupe and Meyer lemon layer the palate, with bright tangy acidity and mineral notes on the finish.
