Style: Session Pale Ale

We are proud to have brewed this Session Pale Ale in collaboration with firemen Matt and Kyle from the Professional Firefighters of Casa Grande. It was brewed with a mild malt bill with just a touch of Vienna malt for a little color, character and body. The combination of Idaho 7 hops and aromatic Guatemalan coffee, added post dryhop, gives a rich, tropical dankness to the aroma.

A heavyweight champion needs a good punch! Even though it never touched a barrel, the smoked apples and brown sugar give it a smooth Bourbon-esque start with a clean and dry finish. Part of the SanTan Pilot Series, MoonJuice is an IPA that features hops from our friends in the southern hemisphere (Galaxy and Nelson Sauvin). Almost 40% wheat malt, but is fermented, hopped, dry-hopped, and filtered like a west coast IPA. The wheat makes it very satiable beer for the hot summer, and the aroma will carry loads of citrus and tropical fruit.

An American Imperial Red. SanTan’s rendition of the style involves a big blast Nelson-Sauvin hops, named for its county of origin’s famously popular Sauvignon Blanc grapes grown in Marlborough, New Zealand. The Nelson-Sauvin hops give an unmistakable aroma of apricots and a slight taste of fresh peaches. This full forward hop character is balanced with a solid caramel malt flavor. Hints of roast and espresso linger with the staying flavor of the fruity hop.
