Alvarado Street Brewery - Centennial IPA
Style: American IPA

With emphasis on all the "cool kid" hops these days like Mosaic, Citra, Galaxy & Nelson, we wanted to explore a hop variety that got many of us brewers in hoppy beers to begin with: Centennial. Sometimes referred to as "super Cascade", this stalwart hop of the industry is known for it's grapefruit & lemon notes, and a delightful floral character.

Alvarado Street Brewery - Champagne Hopi
Style: American IPA
ABV: 7.00%

Our first iteration of a Brut IPA! Employing an enzyme to assist a neutral ale strain in fermenting all available sugar in the wort, this IPA is bone dry, yet incredibly drinkable and hopped with Mosaic, Citra & Azacca. It's not fined so there's a bit of hop haze, and carbonation is quite high for an effervescent, refreshing character.

Style: India Pale Lager
ABV: 4.80% IBU: 30.0

This is a hoppy Mexican lager, inspired by a San Diego garage homebrew recipe from 2011. Bitterness is light and crisp, but hop aroma & flavor are front and center. We overuse the word "tropical", but there's really no better way to describe Citraveza, as the interaction between the lager yeast and these hops make for a truly unique beer.

	Alvarado Street Brewery - Coconut Side Spin Style: Sour ABV: 7.00% SideSpin in a hazy IPA made with some kettle sour wort (1/3 of the batch). Dry hopped with Mosaic cryo and Centennial Cryo and Loral. Lower acidity is not meant to be tart but to emulate the juicy factor which ends up working well with the hops. Style: American IPA
ABV: 7.20% IBU: 35.0

Formerly known as "Cold Pressed Hop Juice", this IPA has been fermented with a peachy, stone-fruit heavy yeast strain that complements the melon and candy-like notes of El Dorado hops. Citra and Azacca bring in a layer of tropical fruit and rounds out the citrusy character. Low bitterness and emphasis on flavor and aroma additions, along with high protein adjuncts like flaked oats give the mouthfeel a juicy texture.

Style: Double IPA
ABV: 8.50% IBU: 55.0

Double IPA fermented with a formerly classified Brettanomyces yeast strain that produces intense tropical aromas and flavors. We augment these yeast esters with Citra, Mosaic, and touch of Galaxy in the dry hop, resulting in a total juice bomb. It also has a beautiful orangey haze, and creamy mouthfeel from the addition of flaked oats.

We're obsessed with Daiquiris, and have been wanting to make a banana beer for years. So here it is! A frozen daiquiri-inspired kettle sour ale series brewed with lime and milk sugar to balance the acidity. Add a few thousand pounds of banana puree to mix and you get a runt-like candy expression with soft tartness and the creamy texture of banana taffy.

A modern take on the ever changing IPA style. We've combined forces from two of our favorite yeasts, Saccharomyces Trois (Contains No Juice) and Vermont ale (Riot Punch) to squeeze out as much pulpy, tropical-fruit laden ester character as possible, THEN introduced a not-so small amount of cryo powder in the dry hop to further augment an oily, luscious hop aroma and flavor. A West Coast IPA with some serious Pacific Northwest vibes courtesy of Zeus and Centennial hops. The nose is absolutely saturated with pine trees wrapped in chains of orange blossoms. Fresh cut redwood, Meyer lemons, and a bouquet of lavender and geranium follow. Light bodied, but with a malt presence that starts at pie crust and nearly tips into biscuit territory- with a hint of caramelized table sugar. An assertive, oily bitterness keeps the sweetness at bay throughout and lingers beyond the dry refreshing finish. A tribute to the piney, citrusy IPAs with a little bit of color- from days gone by. Our 2018 World Beer Cup gold medal winner is a Classic American-style Red Ale with piney, citrusy hops from the Pacific Northwest and a rich, malty backbone. Hops include Simcoe & Citra, generating bright grapefruit pith & tangerine that meld with notes of caramel and freshly baked bread from several different malts, which also contribute to it's deep mahogany, crimson-like appearance. An assertive bitterness tames the malt sweetness for a balanced brew, warming up the soul.

Utilizing a Norwegian "Kveik" yeast strain (Kveik is a centuries-old Scandanavian farmhouse ale which varies widely in style) we brewed an IPA to see what kind of flavors and aromas are possible. Pineapple, peach forward esters were matched with Strata, El Dorado, & Citra hops, and we also added some fresh hop oil for an extra resinous kick.

Minesweeper is brewed with 100% British Maris Otter pale malt as it's base, which contributes a creamy texture and a tad more body than your typical dry, West Coast IPA. As with most of our hoppy beers, a majority of the bitterness comes directly from whirlpool additions in the boil, with the intent of maximizing hop aroma & flavor. The addition of Oregon estate heirloom barley from Mecca Grade Malting and a sizable portion of Spelt gives it a pillowy, chewy texture.
