Unlike the 6 week profile of the other two brands, Consecrator experiences a full three months in the fermenting vessel, giving it an exceptionally smooth character.

A vibrant sour session ale aged on blackberries. This "call of the void" variation was also fermented entirely in wooden foeders with a mixed wild culture, Brettanomyces, Bell's house ale yeast and Pediococcus, for about 12 months. A reimagined version of the original Jazz Series beer of the same name, this brew takes the original hop and malt profile and adds the unique, funky, tart notes of a brettanomyces fermented beer. Originally, the first release in Bell’s Planet Series, Mars (The Bringer of War) is a double IPA with a complex hop character and a malty backbone. Notes of tropical fruit, citrus, pine, lemon, lime and pineapple are all present in both the aroma and flavor. Hopped at a ratio of about 3.4 pounds of hops per barrel, the recipe for Mars was developed from a trial batch called Larry’s Latest Double IPA brewed in our original brewery located adjacent to the Eccentric Café in downtown Kalamazoo. Original release date: August, 2014 Released again in bottles and on draught in 2017. Back for another voyage in the fall of 2021.

The end result is a dry-hopped lager that possesses a crisp, dry bitterness you would expect from a German pilsner, but the use of highly aromatic Simcoe hops from the Pacific Northwest, evoke the fragrant pine forests that inspired this beer.

The Oracle fills the glass a brilliantly clear, dark gold hue as big hop scents ooze from the head. Bold, dank pine scents stick to the nose as grapefruit imbues the aroma with sharp fruitiness; lightly toasted malts dull the edges. The Oracle is decidedly fluid: Aggressive bitterness chases apricot and grapefruit zest that morph into pine and grass in the back of the mouth.
