Style: Australian Sparkling Ale

Dry. Tangerine. Effervescent. These words don’t really pop in your head when you think of beer, but then again, there’s nothing quite like Bright Tangerine Sparkling Ale. This brew is low calorie, gluten removed, with a dry and bubbly finish. The kicker is that it is loaded up with heaps of natural tangerine flavor, making it a little brighter than your average ale!

Our brewmaster Jason Oliver was thinking about how to design the IPA when he heard a rustle near his fence line (just touching the woods) where he saw two young proud eight point bucks walking along it. He decided to name the beer after those young bucks as it seemed to fit the spirit of the beer,which is proud, brash, youthful, yet approachable. Citrus, Pine, Snap.

An homage to the days when beers were made 100% from malted barley, Gold Leaf is brewed with four European malts tempered with a touch of three imported hops. Plus, it’s got subtle bready notes. And since it’s not super hoppy or dark, this beer doesn’t hide any flavor inconsistencies. That just keeps us honest.

This is a culmination of all the IPAs our team has brewed over the years. Our Imperial IPA is hopped, hopped and dry hopped with excessive abandon in mind. Kabong! Hoppy, Smack Gusto. When you blaze a trail up a mountain, your goal is to reach the peak. We did the same with the Peak Series, our brewer’s selections that combine intensity, adventurous flavors and special brewing techniques to reach the pinnacle of the brewers’ art. Maybe it’s the amber color, or the blend of four imported malts balanced by two Germanic hops, or the fact that it takes five weeks to get right. Or maybe it’s all the above.
