You take a sip and are transported to a different world, where dark beer doesn't have to be under-attenuated and more adjunct-laden than the kids' shelf in the cereal aisle. Simple, beautiful, roasty, dark fruits, charred sugar, and slightly smokey with undertones of dark cocoa powder... That was the beer he shared, ours is just a poor attempt at making a super normal porter.
