A rich, malty sweetness melds with a subtle toasted character from the traditional Munich malts. The latest addition of our 'Pounds Per Barrel' series explores newer American hop varieties. El Dorado hops elicit watermelon, pear, and stone fruit aromas and a sweet fruity taste. The beer is purposefully light to showcase the triple dry hopping and hop bursting techniques used. The result is a 7.4% ABV, highly hopped new age IPA with a full body and no lasting bitterness.

For our seventh anniversary we crafted a beer that is reminiscent of a camping trip. This mouth coating Imperial Porter is luscious. Chocolate, vanilla, and graham cracker create a campfire treat in liquid form. Barrel-aged in a combination of both bourbon and rye whiskey barrels, this liquid s'more is rich with wisps of smoke, caramel, and dark chocolate. Slight notes of spice from the Belgian yeast add some “Je ne sais quoi”, leaving you to analyze the flavor profile like you would a glass of, well, Viognier.

Utilizing one malt varietal and one hop varietal, this beer is a great way to familiarize yourself with characteristics of both a single malt, and hop. The Malt utilized is a English style pale malt known as "Golden Promise". It imparts a gentle toasty sweetness to any beer. It is a popular base malt (majority of grain portion of a recipe) for many beer styles. The hop character comes solely from a German hop known as Mandarina Bavaria. It is the daughter of the extremely popular "Cascade" variety. It is known to create wonderful aromas and flavors of tangerines, and various other citrus flavors.

Light bitterness accompanies resinous, fruity aromas in this Belgian IPA. Simcoe, Citra, and Amarillo hops create notes of Guava, pine, and intense citrus. It has a dry finish which lets flavors linger only long enough to invite you back in for another taste. It is a liquid metaphor for the ebb and flow of tides here on the central coast of California.

This kettle sour is a take on a traditional Berliner Weiss with tangerines. Figueroa Mountain's first sour beer balances bready character from wheat, with gentle lactic acid notes. The texture is medium to balance tartness and body. Hints of citrus come through in the nose and flavor but are not overwhelming. Cool down with this classic German Style sour.

Our latest release in our Trail Pale single hop series is a hop varietal called "Calypso". First released in 2003, Calypso is known for it's fruity, resinous, and herbal qualities. Notes of mint intermingle with apple and pear, while resinous characteristics remind you of this hop's American parentage. The beer finishes dry with a crisp bitterness to invite you back for your next sip.

Winter Crush is an unfiltered IPA containing both flaked and malted wheat. Wheat adds flavors of dough and fresh baked bread and the protein content of wheat also adds to this beer’s hazy appearance. The malts showcase hop character very well. Hops like Nugget and Simcoe lay a foundation with pine and grapefruit, while others like Hallertau Blanc, Cascade, and Citra lend to a blizzard of bright citrus character.
