Style: American Pale Ale
ABV: 5.20%

Weyermann Pilsner Malt and Simpsons Maris Otter and Mosaic, Strata and Ekuanot hops. Medium in body, with just a lick of crackery maltiness (but without that cloying caramel flavor), and then kicks in with all the hop flavor and aroma. Flavor notes? Think Navel Orange (but definitely not Valencia Orange, ugh!), strawberry rhubarb and some herbaceous rosemary in the linger.

	Green Cheek Beer Co. - Berlin! Style: Sour - Berliner Weisse ABV: 3.20% A sour German-style wheat beer that is kind of the ultimate session beer. Low in abv and high in acidity, we use unmalted wheat, pilsner malt, almost no hops and a mixed culture fermentation to create this unpasteurized ale.

This beer is all about letting one single hop variety shine so that we can teach ourselves about it and learn together what it’s all about. Squeaky-clean malt presence and yeast profile, light in body and in color, with the all Sabro dry hop bringing so many flavors and aromas we’ve never had from hops before. The aroma brings a huge juicy tangerine-like character, with fresh juiced pineapple, coconut and vanilla.

What the heck is a cold IPA? Well, for us, it's an IPA mashed with 30% rice to help lighten up the body and color and then fermented with lager yeast. On the pallet, this thing is very much like our clear and bitter California IPA's. Pale, with a firm bitterness and a sticky resin like quality that is all fresh Douglas fir and super hoppy aromatics of blueberry muffins and strawberries.

After drinking this dry hopped lager style from a few Italian breweries at the Pils & Love Fest earlier this year, we knew it was only a matter of time until we made our own version of it. Brewed with Italian Pilsner malt and some of our favorite German hops; Saphir, Hallertau Blanc and Huell Melon, the result is medium-bodied with a soft malt presence and enough bitterness to create that snappiness that you hope for in a Pils. The aromatics and flavor are full of herbal notes, with a sage and honey character that carries into the dry finish.

Our Lead Brewer for our Costa Mesa spot dreamed up this beautiful little West Coast Pils, and he describes it best. Pete says "Smells like money on payday, freshly cut grass, ripe cantaloupe, grapefruit flesh, cotton bubble gum and a pleasant waft of diesel. On the palate is a light to medium body with flavors of rustic bread coming from the addition of spelt."

Green Cheek Beer Co. - Nondescript Kolsch
Style: Kolsch
ABV: 5.00%

To start this one off, we milled a not-too-much but not-too-little amount of grain, introduced that to some hot water, and before you could say Kölsch Konvention, we dry hopped it with HBC 369 hops (which the kids call Mosaic these days). In the end we sorta, kinda made a Kölsch beer that isn’t quite meh, but also isn’t blah anyway. It’s actually totally delicious, but in a somewhat nondescript kinda way. Not to be long winded or anything, but you get the point.

Years ago when west coast IPA died, we cried our eyes out and did our absolute darndest to keep our heads up about it. With the resurrection of this clear & bitter style, we utilized a hop variety that is at the beginning of it's life, Strata. Enjoyment is just the beginning. Showcasing the lighter color we associate with our California IPA's, this beer is all about that satisfyingly clean bitterness, it’s lean body, and flavorful layers of stinky guava, pineapple candy, and Riesling from all those rad hops. A fun marriage of new with tried-and-true.

	Green Cheek Beer Co. - The Other Brian Style: Imperial IPA ABV: 8.50% This pale golden elixir is brewed with an array of pilsner malts to keep the color light and the malt flavor low. We let Citra do most of the talking on this one, while Ekuanot just barely gets a word in. The nose on this one is straight mango and the palate is reminiscent of blueberries, orange juice, and gummy bears.

	Green Cheek Beer Co. - Wires All Crossed Style: Triple IPA ABV: 10.00% This unfiltered West Coast Triple IPA is all about that super clean, light colored malt bill, it’s firm bitterness, and that huge hop character of ripe melon, tangerine, and pineapple. Using a neutral yeast strain to let that hop character pop like crazy, the finish lingers with a hit of danky, resinous goodness.
