Black IPA is an up-and-coming style in the American beer scene. Based on a traditional hoppy, medium-bodied IPA, this beer has added complexity from roasted malts. The roasted/coffer flavors from the dark malt add another dimension to the beer, rounding out the hop bitterness without adding sweetness. The roasted flavors also highlight the aroma hops in ways you won’t experience in lighter colored beers. Dark and complex, crisp and hoppy.
