Mad Mole Brewing - ArMolegeddon
Style: Imperial Coffee Stout
ABV: 8.30% IBU: 45.0

‘Armolegeddon’ is the stout to end all stouts. Sitting at 8.3% ABV, it's just boozy enough to keep ya warm during a chilly night, but not so much to put yah to sleep. We used locally roasted coffee from Luna Café in downtown Wilmington to add a smooth and roasty coffee flavor to the body. To round out the flavor profile, we added organic, fair trade vanilla beans that we self-extracted to add a subtle sweetness to the finish.

Mad Mole Brewing - Avogadro's Legacy
Style: American Pale Ale

In honor of our ‘mad’ scientist roots here at Mad Mole, we wanted to honor the legacy of the scientist who invented the mole! Not the blind, furry tunnel diggers, but rather the scientific constant, reciprocal mole. We think Amedeo Avogadro would approve of this beer: ‘Avogadro’s Legacy.’ At first glance you might think the ABV for this beer unique, and that’s because it is. Avogadro’s constant is defined as 6.02214076 × 10^23, so naturally we shot for an ABV as close to that as possible! It’s 6.02% ABV is accompanied by a light and easy body and mouthfeel, lending a hand to maximum drinkability! The exciting hop combo of Cashmere, Grungeist and Vic Secret give off a dank nose and notes of lemon and lime throughout. Help us honor the legacy of an integral scientist in our world’s history by grabbing a pint!

Brewed w/ Pilsen and Biscuit Malt, this a Blonde Ale, not to be confused with our Blegian Blond, 'Marilyn MonMole.' We wanted to try out a new ale yeast, rather than Marilyn's Belgian yeast, with a similar malt bill. 'Bad News Moles' will have a similar breadiness, but rather than Marilyn's traditional banana notes, it carries a slight tropical fruit flavor on the back end.

With a higher concentration of malted wheat to oats, Citra Mole Down carries a soft mouthfeel and body. Accentuated by 4 pounds of loral hops this beer will transport you to a stroll through an orange grove.

A collaboration with our friends from ABS Commercial (who made all of our shiny tanks for us) who has partnered with Berkeley Yeast to provide some of their customers with unique yeasts to try in their vessels, and we are lucky enough to present you with a beer highlighting one of them! Berkely Yeast has bioengineered a new yeast strain that taps into malt and hop additions like we’ve never seen before! This ‘Tropics’ yeast that we used gives off strong tropical flavors packed with notes of guava and passionfruit, before you even dry-hop the beer! We used a combination of El Dorado, Galaxy and Sultana hops to add additional tropical and pineapple notes, to give you this new, silky and smooth NE IPA

For the first time this season, we are excited to roll out this specially brewed sour ale to quench the thirsts of all you vicious fishes out there. ‘Moles Can’t Swim’ was brewed with 176 pounds of blueberries and blackberries (88 lbs of each), to give a pleasant berry tartness and light purple/pinkish color. With an ABV of only 5.2 percent, this sour is also super sessionable and appropriate for any warm weather activities! Even if moles can swim, they wouldn’t be able to see where they’re going anyway, and a vicious fish would quickly snatch em up. Like said fish, snatch up some of this sour before it’s all gone.

When Brendan and Molly closed the food truck and announced a new brick and mortar restaurant, we couldn’t have been more excited for them! To celebrate this new journey for CheeseSmith, we brought them in for a brew day and proudly present to you: ‘MoleSmith.’ The CheeseSmith crew have always been huge fans of New England IPAs, so that’s exactly what we wanted to brew for them. This beer was brewed with Galaxy and Simcoe hops, which give it a dank nose with a fun and bright passionfruit flavor throughout. Combine that with a hint of grapefruit on the back end and a soft, smooth mouthfeel, this NE IPA is sure to be the next big hit around town. The ‘mountain to sea trail’ is where the name comes from, and portions of both breweries’ profits off this beer will be donated to the preservation of the MST! The MST IPA is filled with dark berry flavors, accompanied by a mild bitterness and pillowy finish.

Like all of our New Englands, you’ll find this one to have the softest, most pillowy mouthfeel, followed by a smooth finish, free of any residual bitterness. A dank nose on the front end is welcomed by a strong citrusy flavor throughout, making it one of our best NE IPAs yet! Nectar of the Moles was brewed with 100% Nectaron hops, which is a rare hop that we were lucky enough to get our hands on, so grab some, because when it’s gone, it’s gone!

We feel so blessed and grateful to have celebrated our 5 YEAR ANNIVERSARY this past Saturday! To celebrate that accomplishment, we brewed a New England IPA with the best hop combo ever: Nectaron, Galaxy, and Citra! That combo produced what might be our tastiest NE IPA ever: "Pulling Down Daisies"; just as smooth and relaxed as our other NE IPAs, like Citra Mole Down, ‘Daisies’ has a flavor profile full of tropical fruits, citrus, and pineapple.

Less dense and smoother than most sours, we aim to make these as sessionable as possible! The ABV will change each time based off of the added fruit, but will always land at an approachable 4.8-5.5%. This first sour was brewed with 132lbs of cherries to give it a light red hue and cherry flavor throughout.

We don’t think Monty Mole would appreciate us making a beer named after his adversaries, but we couldn’t pass up the opportunity of nostalgia accompanying our next lager release: ‘Super Molio Bros.’ We felt resonating with one of the most classic video games ever was the perfect way to share this classic beer style with you. ‘Super Molio Bros.’ was brewed with classic Bavarian Malt to give it a smooth body and light breadiness. We then did a gentle dose of dry-hopping with the noble, traditional Hallertau hops to give it a floral aroma and a crisp and easy finish. ‘Super Molio Bros.’ is light and easy drinking, which is an evergreen need in our drinking rotations. With its light bready flavor and hop notes on the back end, it is flexible enough for any menu or occasion! Or maybe you dust off the old N64 and hang with the Super Molio Bros. yourself?
