The flavor is unique in today’s micro-brewed beers, as we have relied on the rich and complex charters of caramel malted barleys to accentuate the taste of this ale. The hops used in our Amber Ale support the malt flavors adding depth and character that puts this ale in a category by itself.

Napa Smith - California Lager
Style: Mexican Ale
ABV: 5.20% IBU: 17.0

Channeling the long standing tradition of Lagers brewed in California; we brewed a crisp, clean beer inspired by the Napa River headwaters of Mt. Saint Helena to the Carquinez Strait. Brewed with heritage grains and West Coast hopping; this easy drinking beer brings resinous notes of pine and citrus, built around a nuanced bread-like almond malt profile.

Napa Smith - Golden Gate IPA
Style: American IPA
ABV: 6.10% IBU: 66.0

A rendition of the West Coast style American IPA. It is golden or straw in color. True to style, Golden Gate is crisp and dry with very little malt backbone or residual sweetness. This allows the focus to be on the hops and let hop character be the focal point. Reminiscent of the North West, the hop profile highlights deep resinous pine notes with floral citrus overtones.

Napa Smith - Grateful Dog
Style: Barleywine
ABV: 10.00% IBU: 45.0

Before kegging, we blended in a portion of our 3-year old Barrel Aged Imperial Porter. Grateful Dog is a BIG beer. At 10% alcohol this beer is a Zen-like invitation to practice moderation. Grateful Dog pours with a rich, dark mahogany color and a long-lasting creamy off-white head. Aromas of cherries, dried fruit, chocolate and coffee show strongly. The flavor is complex and multi-layered, starting with a subtle, sweet fruitiness and progressing to dark caramel with a pronounced wood aged porter character to finish. Here in the Napa Valley we turn wine into beer!

Napa Smith - Hopageddon

You can pray to the Hop Gods all you want… You’ll never find another IPA like this one. Hopageddon is an end-of-the-world Imperial IPA with an intensely aromatic hop profile that defies expectations and will leave you wondering, “What just happened?” At 144 IBUs, Hopageddon glows with a gorgeous fiery orange color and showcases a distinct, full white head. The unique flavors from our obscenely extended dry-hopping and shockwave of bitterness lingers on the palate and leaves hopheads with a Post-ahopalyptic yearning for more. Napa Smith - Organic IPA
Style: India Pale Ale

We set out first and foremost to make a great IPA, using only the finest organic ingredients. The aroma of our Organic IPA can be described as floral, and even earthy from the use of Palisade, Tettnang and Smaragd hops. Our Organic IPA contains a nice malt backbone that supports the generous amount of hops, and finishes with a bitterness and soft citrus character that discerning IPA drinkers will enjoy.

A brilliantly straw color and striking white head illustrates the superior quality of Napa Smith Pilsner. Subtle Pilsner flavors and aromas come from the exclusive use of German Pilsner malts, coupled with European noble hops.
