To celebrate the hop harvest, we brewed this beer with 400 pounds of fresh Centennial hops grown at Goschie Farms in Silverton, Oregon, a mere 70 miles from our brewery. Plucked from the hop bines and added to the lauter tun within a few hours, this beer went from farm to fermentation all in a day’s time. Enjoy the intoxicating floral and citrus notes of fresh Centennial hops!

Who knew believing had so many rewards? Tasting Notes Multiple kinds of caramel malts are used to create caramel, toffee, date, fig, subtle chocolate, and a hint of roasted malt complexity. Expo 58 was born out of our brewers’ interest in Belgian-style ales. Similar to a Belgian Tripel, but with a much lower alcohol percentage, this beer has a spicy, floral aroma from the Belgian yeast and use of Saaz hops. With a biscuity backbone, the notable characteristics of the Belgian yeast shine through, bringing forth subtle notes of clove and banana in a sessionable Belgian ale.

This is a Ninkasi take on a Belgian Tripel. Tripels are brewed with Belgian-style yeast contributing a spicy, clove-like aroma with citrusy and floral notes. They are generally effervescent with a long-lasting, dense white head. We brewed ours with Pilsner and Carapils malts, as well as Hallertau and Saaz hops. Enjoy!

While the hop farms are busy plucking the hop bines each September, we are busy transporting 500 pounds of fresh Crystal hops from the field to the brewery. Following our recipe for Total Domination IPA, we add the first two hop additions as normal. Instead of adding the final addition to the brew kettle, we run the wort through the fresh-picked hops in the lauter tun.

Historically brewed extra rich, malty and sweet, these beers were designed to ensure their flavors survived the voyage across the Baltic Sea. We brewed ours with Pilsner, Munich, Chocolate, Carafa, and roasted barley malts and added Chinook, Galena and Falconer's Flight hops. Cheers to the journey ahead!

In a collaboration spanning Oregon’s bountiful Willamette Valley to Virginia’s heartland, Steve Crandall and Jason Oliver of Devils Backbone Brewing took the bet and gave the Devil his due when our founding brewer, Jamie Floyd, came ‘a-calling. What the trio first described as “a sort of West Coast, German-Style Roggenbier” turned into an Imperial Dark Rye, offering an elevated alcohol percentage and a crisp, lager-like finish from the Alt yeast fermentation. Give the Devil his due!
