Real Ale Brewing Co. - 25th Anniversary Golden Stout
Style: Stout
ABV: 6.50% IBU: 30.0

This golden stout starts with classic American 2-row barley, a dose of Munich malt for a rich toasty note, and some flaked oats to add a silky mouthfeel. From there, we take the beer in a new direction, and that’s where the mind-bending begins. Unlike a traditional stout, which is typically brewed using roasted malt, for this beer we opted for natural additions, like coffee beans and cacao nibs, that mimic these dark chocolate and espresso flavors that traditionally come from grains. In the end, you’re left with a truly trippy beer that has the appearance of a perfect summer sipper and all the complexity of a dark velvety stout.

Looking back can provide a better perspective on the future. In the good ol’ days, when things were simpler, you would kick off your shoes, crank up the tunes, and crack open a cold one. This was our inspiration for 8Track, a malt-forward Amber Ale designed to showcase the simple beauty of a well-crafted beer – cutting no corners, and using only the purest ingredients. Deep flavors of caramel and toffee fade into a smooth finish.

	Real Ale Brewing Co. - Axis IPA Style: IPA ABV: 7.10% IBU: 60.0 Tropical fruit, citrus, and a pale golden body, help keep this breed light on its feet. And with few natural predators there is little anyone can do to stop the spread. IPA may not have been born in Texas, but it will soon seem as native as the sky that stretches between its borders.

Real Ale Brewing Co. - Benedictum
Style: American Wild Ale
ABV: 6.50%

Benedictum was inspired by the brown ales of Flanders. Primary fermentation takes place in stainless with our house ale yeast before the beer is racked to barrels that have been inoculated with a mixed culture of wild yeast and bacteria. Once this secondary fermentation is complete, tart cherries are added to the barrels and allowed to referment, adding a further layer of complexity to this very drinkable sour ale.

Style: American Pale Ale
ABV: 6.00% IBU: 35.0

We were asked to make the most citrus-forward hazy pale ale we could, so we started with a blend of hops known for producing big citrus flavors and aromas. Then, we added fistfuls of lemon and sweet orange peel. Finally, we fermented the “juice” with a variety of Kveik yeast that throws down crazy pineapple esters. When you drink it, you will understand how Real things can get.

Born from owner Brad Farbstein’s homebrewing experiments in college — our porter is a rich, robust ale with a dry finish. Fresh, cold-brewed organic fair trade coffee courtesy of Katz Coffee in Houston, TX is added just prior to packaging. Our most popular seasonal release, it’s a whole new way to enjoy your coffee with breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Real Ale Brewing Co. - Cosmic Prairie
Style: Wheat Ale
ABV: 5.70% IBU: 10.0

A Norwegian twist on a traditional Hefeweizen, this ale does not have the usual banana and clove esters, but leans toward a tropical profile by virtue of pineapple juice and a Norwegian yeast known as Kveik. With a simple malt bill of wheat and barley, as well as a low hop rate, the pineapple is accentuated by the yeast’s aromas of stonefruit and pineapple. Drinking one is like walking through a trippy, cosmic prairie.

It takes finesse to brew a light beer that is both full of flavor and endlessly crushable. Lucky for you, finesse is our business. This seemingly simple elegance is reflected in Crispy Business. German pilsner malt gives subtle malt sweetness, while Callista hops provide an enticing, modern hop aroma of apricot, peach and blackberry. A clean, tidy finish, with moderate bitterness, makes this a true crispy crusher.

Named for a winding stretch of Hill Country highway, Devil’s Backbone is a Belgian-style tripel. Featuring a beautiful pale-golden color, this ale’s spicy hops and Belgian yeast work together to create a distinctive flavor and aroma. Don’t let the light color fool you, this one has a dark side too. Traditional Belgian brewing techniques add strength without increasing heaviness. Find one near you, or better yet, take a road trip out to Blanco. We promise the views (and the brews) will be well worth the drive.

When Real Spirits emptied its first round of Signature Blend Whiskey barrels, they were quickly filled with Black Quad and laid to rest. After 7 months, the beer emerged, featuring aromas of dark, dried fruit, vanilla, and maple, with a noticeable yet soft level of oak to balance. This beer will pair wonderfully with rich, soft cheese, dessert, and our favorite handcrafted single malt whiskey.

Real Ale Brewing Co. - Fresh Kicks (w Ekuanot And Rakau Hops)
Style: New England IPA
ABV: 6.60%

Fresh Kicks is inspired by Hazy IPAs from the Northeast – beers that are at their best consumed fresh. A blend of Azacca, Mosaic, and Amarillo hops, added to the whirlpool and also at multiple times in the fermentation process, produces hop flavors and aromas that mimic the addition of ripe tropical fruits. This cask was dry hopped with Ekuanot & Rakau Hops, adding strong impressions of citrus, fruit, and herbs on the aroma with a bitter hop finish.

Real Ale Brewing Co. - Hans' Pils
Style: Pilsner
ABV: 5.30% IBU: 50.0

You might say, a great beer is man’s other best friend. So when we made this German-style pilsner, it just made sense to name it after the brewery’s dog, Hans — our owner’s German Shorthair Pointer. Inspired by the pilsner beers of Northern Germany, Hans is crisp, brightly hoppy and full of flavor. At 50 IBUs and featuring Tettnang hops, it’s even hoppier than many pale ales. The German malt helps create a nice pale golden color and provides the perfect companion to the hops.

Real Ale Brewing Co. - Imperium Periscum
Style: Barrel-Aged IPA
ABV: 8.40% IBU: 66.0

With Imperium Persicum, we've taken this a step further, adding to this already fantastic foray into the fruity wilds. After 12 months of secondary fermentation in oak, fresh peaches are added to the barrels and allowed to ferment to dryness. The end result is a delightfully dry and funky ale with notes of peach and apricot.
