Our taste for dark, malty beers and hop-forward beers join together in Backpacker Brown, a hoppy, Northwestern-style brown ale that highlights the best of both worlds. Dark malts give it a rich, robust mouthfeel and a toasty, caramel-like aroma, with a generous dose of Northwestern hops providing a tasty balance of resiny and citrus hop flavors. Our first Session Sour, Blueberry Lemon-Ale, utilizes natural blueberry puree, as well as lemon & orange zest with a sour base to create what any true lemonade connoisseur expects, a mouthwatering tart juicy liquid. This fresh squeezed flavor profile is something very different from the sweet artificial varieties consumers have had forced upon them in recent years.

Bourbon Barrel Buffalo Sweat is the second barrel-aged release from Tallgrass Brewing Co. We took our award-winning oatmeal cream stout and aged it in bourbon barrels to create a rich, complex, medium-bodied beer with a chocolate-espresso flavor and aroma, and warm bourbon undertones. Tasting notes: Creamy sweetness of milk sugar; dark-roasted barley; chocolate-espresso flavor and aroma; oak, vanilla and warm bourbon undertones.

Style: Blonde
ABV: 7.50%

Key Lime Pie is an American sour blonde ale brewed with Sorachi Ace hops, a Japanese variety with a unique lemon-lime citrus character. Lactose and lime peel, give the beer a complex sweet-tart interplay and a bold aroma of the beer’s namesake. The addition of lactobacillus gives the beer a slightly sour edge, and a generous malt bill provides a solid foundation with just a hint of graham cracker crust.

	Tallgrass Brewing Co. - King Buffalo Style: Imperial Stout ABV: 10.50% Coffee. Chocolate. Roasted barley, hints of toffee and a little bit of booze. Take that first sip. The familiar coffee and chocolate flavors are there, but they’re bigger, bolder and more complex. The body is thick and robust, with a velvety texture and a bitter, dry and warming finish.

It’s no secret that we love hops at Tallgrass. But it’s not always about beers with huge hop flavor; sometimes we use hops in a more subtle fashion. We also use the dry-hopping process in a more delicate beer like Songbird Saison to create a refreshing Belgian-style ale where apricot and lemon flavors mingle with fresh-cracked pepper and citrus notes. Landing at 4.8% with a light, dry finish, Songbird is gentle on the palate, soars with flavor and is totally crushable.

The first Belgian-style Tripel ever released in a can, Velvet Rooster initially launched in 2011. After a brief hiatus in 2016, it’s back as part of our seasonal lineup! This clean and crisp tripel boasts big, fruity esters and slight peppery spice from Belgian yeast. It’s bubbly like champagne with hints of citrus fruit, earthy-grassy notes and a sweet, candy-like finish.

Zombie Monkie is a dark, rich porter, carefully brewed for the post-apocalyptic world to come.
