This unfiltered brew begins with the distinct clove and banana flavors of a traditional hefeweizen before finishing with a subtle complexity derived from select dark malts. Incorporated in 1768 with a courthouse, prison and a few settlers’ cabins, “Charlotte Town” has grown from those humble beginnings into the sophisticated city it is today.

OMB Copper is an authentic Düsseldorf style “Altbier.” Alt means “old” in German, as in “old school.” So there are no crazy flavors or gimmicks with Copper — it’s just an amazingly fresh, easy-drinking beer that tastes like beer. We use expensive (but worth it) Bavarian hops and brew in strict accordance with the “Reinheitsgebot” German beer purity law to guarantee it.

When it comes to making fresh, flavorful beer, we say go big or go home. That’s why we created Fat Boy, OMB’s“biggest” beer. But as rich and bold as Fat Boy is, it also nimbly covers a lot of tasty ground, blending sweet, malty notes of caramel, toffee, and chocolate with subtle hints of prunes and raisins. This Bavarian style lager is a liquid homage to our home in Mecklenburg County. With its crystal clear, golden blonde color, Mecklenburger is fresh, smooth and easy to love (just like home!). Its slight malty character is perfectly balanced by very subtle, lingering hop notes and a crisp, refreshing finish to help take the steam out of a hot Carolina day.

Munzler's Vienna Lager: Martin Munzler founded the first brewery in Charlotte, and possibly North Carolina. A Bavarian immigrant, he produced the same traditional beer styles OMB is known for today. In tribute to the entrepreneurial spirit of Martin Munzler, we created this crisp, satisfyingly smooth lager with a slight toastiness courtesy of darker malts typical in Munzler’s era.
