This collaboration with Burlington Beer Co. of Burlington, Vermont is the next offering in our Collab Series, a Helles Export Lager brewed with continental malts and noble hops. Bright golden in color with notes of bread dough, honeysuckle, and hay with a full body and firm bitterness, this single decocted pale lager is well-rounded with a lightly mineral finish.

Von Trapp Brewing - Dunkel
Style: Dunkel
ABV: 5.70% IBU: 22.0

Our darkest year round beer; however, looks can be deceiving. Dunkel boasts brilliant crimson hues from the large amounts of Munich malts used, which creates a fuller bodied beer. The decoction brewing process also adds depth and richness. Bitterness is moderate, with just enough to balance out any sweetness from the malt. Dunkel is smooth, rich and complex, but does not finish heavy.

	Von Trapp Brewing - Maple Rauch Style: Rauchbier ABV: 6.10% IBU: 20.0 Our Maple Rauchbier is a tribute to the liquid gold created each spring in the von Trapp Family sugarhouse. A touch of Rauch malt is used to create the base layer of subtle smoke. A blend of Munich and Carafa malts gives this lager its deep hue and full-body, balanced with noble hops. The maple rounds out this lager perfectly.

Caramel and toffee notes linger but are balanced by the subtle hops additions in this beer. We use Hallertau and Tettnanger hops which add a floral yet peppery aroma to this beer. It’s our take on this traditional fest beer.

“This collaboration with Sloop Brewing Company of East Fishkill, NY is the next offering in the Stowe-style series: a contemporary take on the traditional unfiltered lagers of Franconia, Germany. Brewed with Pilsner malt, wheat, and oars, this beer is dry-hopped with American Centennial and New Zealand Nectaron and Superdelic hops, and fermented with a thiolized lager yeast strain which accentuates bright and intense notes of tropical fruit, citrus rind, white grape, and guava.

This collaboration with Brauerei Hoffstet-ten of St. Martin, Austria, is the next offering in the Stowe Style Series: an unfiltered pale lager brewed with Austrian-grown Heines Haisa organic malt and Malling hops. Inspired by the Zwickelbier tradition of sampling directly from the fermentation vessel, this beer is hazy straw in color featuring bright, floral, and zesty hop aromatics, with a full body yet crisp and light finish.

	Von Trapp Brewing - Trösten Style: Smoked Beer ABV: 6.00% IBU: 19.0 Trösten translating to “comfort beer”, a dark lager with rich notes of chestnut and toast. Carafa and smoked malts create rich flavors lingering on a surprisingly light, smooth finish. Brewed for the cold winter nights in Vermont, but can be enjoyed on any occasion.
