Red Velvet Cake Blonde Stout might be the surprising taste of summer. For this latest entry in our Pastry Stout Series we added nearly 30 lbs of red velvet cake mix and an entire red velvet cake to the mash tun, plus cocoa powder to the boil to contribute the rich, chocolate cake character and ruby red color. For the creamy frosting on top, we added lactose to the boil and vanilla to the finished beer.
