Dust Bowl Brewing Co. - Black Blizzard
Style: Russian Imperial Stout
ABV: 9.40% IBU: 80.0

High hop levels and alcohol content, as well as large amounts of dark malts, allowed it to survive the journey to Russia and the surrounding regions. These qualities also make for a beer that ages well, providing layer of flavor that continue to develop over the years. A combination of chocolate, coffee, and roasted malt flavors and aromas are complimented by an assertive bitterness from both dark malts and British hops.

The addition of grapefruit puree to the beer gives it a bright, refreshing character that make it a perfect IPA for the warm summer months.

Dust Bowl Brewing Co. - Dunkel Wheat
Style:
ABV: 4.30% IBU: 10.0

Traditionally brewed in Southern Germany, this take on the Dark Wheat beer uses wheat and dark German specialty grains to give the beer a soft mellow character with layers of rich malt flavors. Our version uses German Ale yeast instead of a Weizen yeast leaving a clean finish with none of the clove or banana flavors often associated with this style.

Light malt flavors and grainy aroma are complemented by spicy and lemon-like hop notes. The finish is medium-dry with a pleasant, moderate bitterness.

Dust Bowl Brewing Co. - Kettle Sour
Style: Sour
ABV: 4.50% IBU: 10.0

For this beautifully colorful beer we use lactobacillus in the kettle and allow the beer to sit for 2 days, creating a pleasant tart flavor from the lactic acid that results from this stage. During fermentation we then add 168 lbs of raspberry and boysenberry puree. The result of all this mad science is a slightly hazy, brilliant pink color with a tart fruitiness and dry finish.

Dust Bowl Brewing Co. - Lateral
Style: New England IPA
ABV: 6.80% IBU: 40.0

Huge additions of Citra, Galaxy and Mosaic hops late in the boil and whirlpool process of this beer create a massive hop aroma that is best described as pineapple and guava juice. A combination of two-row pale malt, flaked oats, and white wheat give the beer a softer, fuller body and provide a smooth balance to the hop character.

Style: New England IPA
ABV: 6.70% IBU: 30.0

This is our second release in the Lateral IPA series. Hazy and juicy, this brew…like its predecessor, Lateral #1, this brew uses 2 row pale malt along with wheat and flaked oats. For this batch we used Summit instead of Citra hops along with Galaxy and Mosaic. Tropical fruit and subtle citrus notes are pleasantly complemented by a medium bodied, slightly sweet malt balance.

Full bodied with a smooth, balanced finish, this is an ideal beer to sip and savor!

September into October is the traditional time for German Oktoberfest. Festival style beers are usually a little stronger than the standard lagers, and our Oktoberfest is a little above the traditional level. It is a deep red/orange lager with a big, malty nose and just enough bitterness to keep it from being sweet. A delicious take on a German traditional lager!

Style: Baltic Porter
ABV: 9.30% IBU: 35.0

This style originated in the region bordering the Baltic Sea and is a take-off on English porters. Originally an ale, brewers in the region switched over to Lager yeast making this big, dark beer extremely smooth and chocolaty. It lacks the roast bitterness of a stout, but has layers of chocolate, coffee, caramel, perhaps toffee, and a wine–like finish.
