On Par pale ale is an American pale ale brewed with focus on balance between malt sweetness, hop bitterness and aroma. Slight caramel and toffee notes from the Caramel 40 malt, un-fermentable dextrins from the Carapils malt and proteins from malted white wheat provide the sweetness needed to balance out the bitter side of things. Bitterness is provided by a 60 min addition of Warrior hops during the boil. Cascade hops are utilized at various points during the boil, whirlpool and dry hop along with EL-Dorado and Sequoia in dry hopping to impart the familiar tropical west coast pale ale flavors and aromas of sticky pine resin and citrus/tropical fruit.
