Dave Chappelle, Half Baked, sound familiar? This isn’t Thurgood’s Abba Zabba taffy but we do utilize Zappa hops. Zappa hops are in a rare group of hops that come from a truly North American lineage and not Continental Europe like most. Opaque and bright like the morning sunshine breaking through pre-dawn clouds. Bright notes of juicy ripe mango, melon, pithy citrus and danker than a log cabin in the Colorado wilderness.

Style: Hard Sparkling Water
ABV: 5.40% IBU: 5.0

This “seltzer” beer is fermented using malted barley not cane sugar but with the addition of amyloglucosidase enzyme the final gravity is below 1.000 SG, making this beautiful magenta colored beer even “dryer” than water. Great for a humid day this new style of beer is perfect for the south. Blueberry pureé is added to the beer at the end of fermentation to give a refreshing cooling flavor without lingering sweetness.

At 10.5% this bourbon barrel aged imperial stout experienced a romantic meet up with CHOCOLATE COVERED CHERRIES creating A depth of flavor known only to big boozy sweet stouts. Engage in romantic encounter as you enjoy this beautiful stout. Feel the pear shaped curves of your tulip glass as you cup the snifter of this full bodied dark beer. Slowly swirl the glass to unleash the bouquet of dark cocoa and coffee then slowly lift it to your lips and take your first sip ever so gently. Let the deep flavors wash your over your tongue as you experience beer euphoria- subtle notes of caramel, vanilla and coconut, maybe some warming alcohol from the bourbon barrel and then the sweet balance of cherry cordials chocolates. As IPAs become more tropical and less resiny and piney, one flavor that is left behind is the sexy coconut. Not a natural aroma from hops but very pleasant and associated with the tropical flavors. Our new pale ale incorporates both tropical hop forward aromas and a late addition of toasted coconut for a subtle pleasantly sweet finish. This isn't a traditional or formal pale it's more of one of those "throw on something casual" and relax pale ales.

When it's Lowcountry time it's obviously a time that is going to be refined, warm, and welcoming. Our pink lemonade farmhouse ale is fermented with a blend of saison and brettanomyces yeast strains then we added cranberries and lemons. Beautifully pink with a lemony zest and cranberry tanic finish this will take you back to being a kid and getting a fresh drink at the local lemonade stand.

This “seltzer” beer is fermented using malted barley not cane sugar but with the addition of amyloglucosidase enzyme the final gravity is below 1.000 SG, making this beautiful magenta colored beer even “dryer” than water. A heapin addition of local Peach Tea from the Charleston Tea Plantation was added to the beer at the end of fermentation to give a subtle refreshing flavor thats all summer.

Low Tide Brewing - POG Juice: Sour Milkshake IPA
Style: Milkshake IPA
ABV: 7.00%

We used 200 gallons of Passion Fruit, Orange, & Guava juice to make the P.O.G. Juice, which is popular on the Hawaiian Islands. The beer has a citrus sour flavor and nose of hoppy aromas from the double dry hop of Idaho 7 and Citra hops. Lactose and vanilla bean also have a trendy home in the new age IPA world and the sweetness adds a pleasant sweet note to the taste experience.

Behold an intensely orange hazy IPA. Brewed with Idaho 7, Azacca, Amarillo and Citra hops as well as Cara Cara Orange puree for that extra citrus punch. Huge aromas of citrusy orange pound your tastebuds with a right hook followed by a left hook of secondary flavors: creamsicle, nectarine, peach, and melon. Oats and wheat make for beautifully hazy orange beer thats soft on the palate.

PUMPKIN BEER Y’ALL. It’s what it should be. Classic pie spice flavors, without knocking you on the ground (it’s still beer after all). Spice is followed by a nice maple character reminiscent of one of those pumpkin bars with a little maple frosting. On the finish you get the actual pumpkin coming through, as well as a rounded caramel malt flavor. A sweeter dessert beer, without being overly cloying.

Truth be told, sometimes you start with a fun name and work backwards to develop unique brews. Low and behold, the creation of Ships Ahoy! We decided to go with a classic English-style Brown Ale with an emphasis on a caramelly, sweet and malty brew to let the cookie character shine through. All the Chips Ahoy cookies (at least the ones that survived my stomach) were used in the mash. Pours a nice caramel-brown color with a milky off-white head. Carbonation is kept medium-to-low to keep this beer sweet, rounded and full. Unfiltered, but not murky by any means. Contains Lactose

This porter recipe includes debittered roasted malts, dark crystal and Munich malt. We then added Lactose, Cacao, vanilla, and cinnamon which creates a sweet dark beer with secondary notes of spice and dark bitter chocolate. The cacao tree is one of the most influential ingredient on the world that ever came out of Latin America. We would be remised if we didn’t add this ingredient it to our Cinco De Mayo line up.

An American IPA which features both Pilsner and Vienna Malts. The Vienna malt is made from a proprietary barley variety in Germany known as "Barke. " The IPA utilizes the exotic and elusive El Dorado Hop exclusively. Its used for both bittering and aroma lending a balanced but noticeable bitterness and bright tropical flavors of pear, watermelon and stone fruits. Both fruity and clean, its Tie One Off 15.

Sweet Malt flavor contributed by 100% North Carolina Malted Barley. The simple malt recipe of Pale Ale and Munich Malt strikes a great balance for this Big Beautiful IPA. Hop Additions are pleasant and dank with 9 different hop varieties used. Citra, Centennial, Cascade, Azzaca, Idaho 7, Mosaic, El Dorado, Simcoe, and Ekuanot all are used at different stages of the brewing process.

Its somewhere in the middle, so its a midwest IPA? Haha who knows. What we do know is that it has a lighter grain bill of mostly Pilsen malt some wheat and a heavy dose of dry hop Azzacca, Citra and Idaho 7.

As the waves crash ashore they leave behind the reminder of what was and what’s to come; sea foam. Thick pillowy peaks of fluffy white foam line the shore refusing to leave the beach. Higher than normal percentages of wheat add a similar thick meringue head to the beer which will linger along the glass until your last sip. Brewed as a traditional German wheat beer utilizing a Hefeweizen yeast strain this beer has a creamy thick sweet body with notes of clove, banana and bubble gum. Prost to the waves that inspire this beauty of a wheat beer.
